There are a lot of reasons, most of them suck.
Short answer is he’s just the front man for a much larger demographic and he’s got a lot of financial systems held hostage because of almost 100 years of the US working to make the dollar the global currency. He’s everyone’s problem.
I have a lot of hope for the Slate. I’m worried about a dozen different things happening to it as a new company. I wish I could see their financials but it’s a catch-22. If I can see their sales numbers it’s more likely some big shitty company tries to hostile take over them (because they’d be publicly traded.) Getting one would be cool. Getting one and then having the company shutter (or get eaten by Amazon), not so much.
I do actually want a truck. I like to thrift shop and do home projects. being able to move furniture and construction materials would be nice. Too bad they’re stupid big, full of tech garbage, and 30K. I just want a little ford ranger or something. There’s no reason it should cost as much as it does when the only people using it are tradesmen and posers. A truck is meant to be the work horse of vehicles. Somehow they convinced enough people to pay a premium price for a thing that has near no versatility.
the cynic in me thinks it’s more just that they have impossible quotas. since many of them are coming in with the idea that the country is bursting with illegals, they think they will reach those numbers easily but then find that no, actually like we’ve been telling you, they’re mostly here legally. So they fail to make their numbers, are marked as poor performers and wash out. The smart ones would have put that signing bonus into a HYSA but I doubt their that clever.
Could be a neat way to wash away student loans. Use the 50K to pay off student debt, Fail on purpose, declare bankruptcy to dismiss the signing bonus debt.
Anyway, I don’t think it has to do with their conduct or competency they got played using the old MLM scheme. can’t deport illegals when all the illegals and even questionable have already been deported. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes as they like to say.

Don’t get me wrong they’re def pieces of shit, but a piece of shit with a major quota can be extra shitty because of stress. Like starving and beating a street dog. It’s already prone to biting. you just made it snap faster.
imo, If you didn’t start the conflict you aren’t required to do or say anything. Fuck the aggressors and anyone that defends them. It’s a pretty simple rule.
At least it’s a little harder everywhere else because most people haven’t devolved into a political system of only A and B. That shouldn’t make people elsewhere feel safer. It just means you have more time.
I used to think the EU was pretty solid but I’ve been seeing the ratcheting effect over there in recent years. With one or two bad actors completely stalling out protections. They better watch out.
