“Flexible” ethics = no ethics
Sure but simply saying “they still did X (oh wait they walked back part of X)” doesn’t really sound understanding but accusatory.
The way it was explained to me is that porn sites are a more secure source of income which trumps every other concern.
Your original post sounds like a nitpick about the term “processor”, not about who is actually responsible (which you aren’t actually certain about either). Idk, maybe elaborate next time.
I don’t know, every news story I read on this said “Mastercard and Visa”. I don’t see how whether they are technically considered “processors” or “networks” matters to me or the issue.
And the difference that makes for me is what?
Would you rather they had shut down because nobody is able to pay them anymore? They complied with the demands for the time being because they have a business to run - and then they immediately started looking for a solution.
So… that means they do … what? Network the payments?
I won’t be talking to you anymore.
And that’s actually a good thing because once you allow this it’s easy for employers to pressure you into “voluntarily” not taking a break, because “it’s so busy right now” or whatever.
I suppose I’m asking for clarification.
That’s your shower thought? To make something good you have to put work in?
Oh sure, you were just doing a social experiment, right?
