This is by definition what happens when democracy fails and no longer is democracy.

By literally every measure this is anything but democracy.

If your option is tell the truth or be a “bummer” then your only being an ass by lying to save others from reality.

Shit sucks but it never gets better if we hide reality away and never speak of it.

It only takes one right person to be bummed out to start a cascade effect that might create meaningful change. Never murder hope before it has a chance to even be born. Even if that means being a “bummer”.

Proton is well past the good enough break point.

Honestly proton is a good choice to start for replacing most of your google/Microsoft suite.

Email, vpn, password manager. Etc. sure it’s not the literal best option on the market. But as far as one stop shop. Its good enough.

The privacy and security standards are acceptable and strikes a good balance between secure and obnoxious.
