That’s how pyramids work.

Then even a well stocked instrument library probably wouldn’t have it

Ants farm. So farming is a hobby?

Imagine all the terrible music we were spared because talentless randoms couldn’t just pick up an instrument for free.
Have you installed bugs at all of your neighbors houses or something?
Probably not, because if you did you’d be more annoyed at people who play their instruments well. That requires hours of boring exercise that don’t sound well at all. And even when they practice a piece, they’ll usually practice 4 bars on repeat, for an hour.

Self actualization might be at the very top of the pyramid of needs. But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t have it.

With most woodwinds, you probably have to get your own reed for ~3,50€. But the rest can be cleaned well enough.
When my concert band lends out instruments they have to get a professional service at the local music store when you return them. They’ll replace any consumable parts that are missing, if you haven’t already.
Of course that would probably be a bit more difficult in a library setting, where the lease lasts only a very short time.

I added the link just seconds ago. Apparently looking up new terms is too difficult.

I have the feeling the voters in this tread have no idea what a company union is. There’s a reason they are banned by international labor law!

Volt ran a really powerful campaign on that idea

Sadly, most elections have rather high electoral thresholds, so they are only really successful at the EU and communal level.

Company unions don’t work.
And if union busting is encouraged by the government, being part of a regular union might not be worth the sacrifice.

My concert band does that. You can borrow an instrument and we arrange for cheaper tutoring. You just have to promise to play in our band a year later.
The local music school (the place where you go to get a tutor. Not a school for general education) and the local instrument store also lend out instruments.

I don’t think that would have prevented migration. People have always migrated and always will.

Did they stop paying his bribes or something?

I only joined a few days ago. And I was positively surprised by the guest mode that boost provides. It already has a bunch of default subscriptions. Although a first run wizard would have been even better.
I was a bit disappointed when I created an account and the feed was suddenly completely empty.
I also would like to see a smarter home feed. Cluster algorithms and engagement tracking could help some. But I’m currently missing a way more basic feature. Please don’t show me the same posts over and over again, every time I open the app!

They do improve the issues some, but don’t solve them fully.
They also delay your human’s internal clock, which can make it more difficult to charge them during the next cycle.

The problem for me is that humans all come with a pre-set charging start time. Charging them before that time is damn near impossible. They just won’t start charging, unless they are already dangerously drained.
But I still need my human operational at 8 am.
I’m trying to change their internal clock forward every day. They synchronize to how much light they receive.
But that’s a lot of work. And I don’t really experience CPU and RAM issues unless I try to go over that 3/1 ratio

My yearly average is 3/1. I’m just trying not to get above that

You can easily get 3 hours for every hour of charging, even over extended periods of time. Although you might experience some issues with your CPU and RAM. And it can negatively impact the device lifespan.
Over short periods you can get away with even less charging. Although the CPU and RAM issues will get even worse.
It’d be the Gategate. It would only be called Billgate if Bill was a woman.
