In some languages (i.e., italian and spanish), “person” is a feminine word (the word itself has ha gender, grammatically). Maybe OP isn’t a native english speaker and they’re just translating literally their thought, implying “someone” as “a person”.
It would have bothered me to the same degree, I don’t know about you. I haven’t seen anyone on Lemmy using ‘he’ as a ‘gender neutral’ pronoun yet, but I assure you I would correct it just as I regularly do in real life.
