Could be against goats and other grazers. Although that only looks high enough to repel the youngest of goats. It’s an issue in my neighbourhood, I couldn’t get my tomatoes to grow very tall before they got munched on. But recently some wild dogs killed the goats, so maybe I’ll try again. But then there’s the snails…

Have you seen a baby goat jump? They are good jumpers. I think this would literally only prevent turtles. Copper tape/wire around the sides would help with snails. Some tall rebar with chicken wire wrapped around will keep goats and deer mostly out. They will push in as far as they can to nibble through the wire.

      Sorry about your goats :(

ah, snails don’t like copper ?

No worries, those weren’t my goats. They were my neighbour’s. Appreciate the sympathy

nice ! I’ll be using this. Thanks. So far the advice I got from a friend was : placing empty shells arounds the plant repels the live ones. Apparently, it functions as a sort of warning. I’ve yet to try
