At least 34 U.S.-sanctioned oil tankers with a history of carrying Venezuelan oil are currently at sea in the Caribbean, according to a new analysis obtained by CNBC on Wednesday.

        The kind of oil extracted in Venezuela is called heavy crude, it’s not easily refined anywhere, needs some kind of special processes. IIRC a lot of it was processed in the USA itself before sanctions took place during the Deranged Orange Man’s first term.
