I have a ton of respect for Cuba. They’re remarkably plucky, given that the US has spent decades trying to strangle them to death.

Wow. I know I say this a lot but I really mean it this time.

That’s fucking crazy. (In a good way)

    Seriously, good for them.

Maybe look into why their economy sucks then your post wouldn’t sound as stupid as it does because you wouldn’t post what you posted if you had.

Over sixty years of economic sanctions by the US on Cuba are why their economy sucks. Despite this, they haven’t gone bankrupt and still try and help other nations in times of crisis.

Ask yourself why Cuba has a better health outcome than the richest country in the world.

Maybe you don’t see reality because of your “American eyes” and education.

Can’t you just stick to helping Ukraine instead of talking about things you know jackshit about?

If the US lifted sanctions, the economy would get a lot closer to “fixed”. Pretty ridiculous to act like the economic problems are not a result of the reactionary policies of the capitalist vampires.

You jumped from economy to press freedom.

Cuba’s economy is entirely because of American sanctions.

          Both can be true.

If everything is Cuba’s fault, then US can lift sanctions and they’ll continue to be failing. But they won’t do that because Cuba, while awful for speech rights, would be pretty good in most other aspects without the sanctions, and a successful socialist country isn’t allowed to exist.

Yeah it turns out when your country is under siege war the government has to restrict some speech to keep the peace. That’s war.
