As the global reputation of US brands slips, some US firms are turning to unusual marketing strategies. Coca-Cola, for instance, is now promoting itself as a “German product.”
Made is doing a lot of heavy lifting in a mass produced beverage.
Jana pressed the buttons on the bottling machine.
I did that too once at McDonalds
Or its little brother “Made for” - rarer but much higher lifting capacity.
this is such a pathetic tactic by a multi million company.
Multi MILLION? Let me quote Austin Powers:
Number Two: Don’t you think we should ask for more than a million dollars? A million dollars isn’t exactly a lot of money these days. Virtucon alone makes over 9 billion dollars a year!
Dr. Evil: Really? That’s a lot of money.
Coca cola is at 50 billion.
daaaaaamn, thats a lot of multi :)
Multi dollar company

Doesn’t Germany have a lot of small soda producers? I remember being gifted locally made Spezi while I was over there and it was amazing.
People usually talk a lot about Fritz Cola, I haven’t personally tasted it though.
It’s way better than Coca Cola
I fucking love Fritz Kola. But a lot of people I know don’t really like it.
Was just in Germany a couple of days ago.
Ordered a Coke was asked “Coke or Coke Zero” was served a local cola.
Wasn’t mad it was a good soda, I was just ordering soda the way I am used to :)
Yes, but Coca Cola and Pepsi are pretty dominant.
Coca Cola yes but who tf drinks Pepsi
I always preferred Pepsi over Coca Cola as it wasn’t so gosh damn sweet (I now drink fritz or afri cola though)
Secret Sprite drinkers.
I drink neither but pepsi is just cocacola with some battery acid.

The last time that happened they invented … Fanta
Coca-Cola has a history of always changing their brand because of fascism.
Please let us continue to turn natural resources into microplastic pollution and diabetes.
Think of Jana
Okay, Jana, enjoy your employment insurance in a country that allows you to survive companies going out of business.
Coca-Cola can go suck an egg.
I haven’t touched any American soda since 51st state threats, honestly really disappointed all our restaurants still serve Pepsi or Coke products.
Not sure if Canadians are hurting their sales enough to try that here yet.
Jarritos is owned by an American company too.
Yeah that one is out of Texas I see.
Alts with zero USA involvement from what I can tell, correct me if I’m wrong:
Canada: Big 8, Like Cola, Bubble Up, Red Racer, Philips Soda, Jones Soda.
Out of those I’m only aware of Jones and Philips personally. I’ll need to look for the others.
Europeans (probably not every country I imagine):
Irn-Bru, Vinto, Fritz-Cola, Almdudler, Rivella, Sinalco, Ubuntu Cola, Mecca Cola, Barr’s Flavours, San Pellegrino, Orangina.
Some of these are in Canada too, dunno about the reverse! I buy San Pellegrino pretty frequently and know of Rivella.
Coca-Cola appears to run campaigns similar to Germany’s across Europe, like in France where I live.
I encourage any cola drinkers to try Palestine Cola https://www.palestinedrinksshop.com/
100% of the profits go to communities in Palestine. It’s the least we can do during a genocide.
Ha ha makes me remember we had Cuba Cola when I was a kid (Sweden).
Fanta 2.0
Who the fuck is still drinking Coca-Cola? Literally the only person I know who ever drank it habitually was my dad, and he stopped some years ago.
As long as they’re not replacing ingredients, turning it orange and calling it fanta
