I saw a lot at IKEA, though not sure if they were produced in Europe.
Edit 1: Just saw the other thread, and someone there already mentioned IKEA. Yes, the ones sold in Europe are made in Europe.
Edit 2: The containers mentioned are IKEA 365 containers, could be different for other types.
Thanks, I checked my local IKEA yesterday: Glass part is made in Czech Republic, lid is made in China
Interesting. I just noticed (yesterday) an IKEA Mason jar I have is made in China. Which I thought was odd.
I’m in Canada, so were probably sent the cheap shit 😮💨
Should have said that containers mentioned are IKEA 365 containers, could be different for other types. I think the quality must be similar though, dispite lower wages and poor working conditions.
Ikea will have different suppliers for the same item. Like my Pax dresser has drawer rails from two different companies
Thrift stores very often have a lot of glass ovenware for real cheap. It might still be Pyrex, but you’re not supporting the company by buying it. If anything, you’re supporting the environment by reusing, and thrift stores are generally local as well.
Bormioli Rocco is an old Italian glassware company that makes various containers and glasses, but they do also have some stuff made in china so you have to check to see what you’re getting.
Looks pretty great, but no direct sales and I can’t find a local retailer.
Duralex glassware is made in France. I bought a few bowls of theirs recently, they’re sturdy and not too expensive.
I would love to buy those, but their EU website is under construction, and I don’t find them locally in retail. So currently only delivery in France.
