Does your phone not have a webbrowser? The point is to not make it bound to a single piece of tech that’s currently controlled by only two companies. I recently opened an account with Barclays and they are very much app first focused, but their app doesn’t work on GrapheneOS. God know how long it would take them to create an app that supports more Linux native phones.

Another card instead of an app that requires google’s blessing and supervision.

They want to challenge visa and mastercard by droping their trousers and bending over for google.

Seems like it’s Wero again. Which is American-approved smartphone exclusive.

I don’t see it as a replacement for Visa/Mastercard, only possibly Google/Apple pay and things like PayPal.

It’s becoming increasingly bizarre to me that virtually all journalists will absolutely refuse to mention Google Play and iOS exclusivity. Has anyone figured out why that is?
