When you had a great joke but that self-centered dumbass in the group interrupts you for the 17th time to completely change the subject AGAIN so you make up an excuse to leave, instead. (Sorry if this sounds random, there’s just that guy who drives me nuts lately and that picture perfectly captures how I feel about it.)

When you write that badly you probably overestimated the greatness of the joke.
