But yeah, nobody I knew actually knew what the lyrics were - we all just mumbled along incoherently until we yelled out the few parts that everyone knew, so none of us were actually certain that the conservatives were totally misinterpreting what the song was saying.
Oh, lol, I get it. I was the kid that read through the lyrics books while playing the albums. Hell, I did some English assignments in school disecting their lyrics. Every time my conclusion was the translation was fairly literal. XD
I never lost points for that part though, because I think the teachers found the exercise to be creative enough and applied to something that I was interested in.
Sure, but in the former case that takes some extreme cognitive dissonance. Rage wasn’t ever really hiding things in their lyrics.
