Mainstream politicians express alarm while lead candidate in Saxony-Anhalt welcomes congratulations from Elon Musk
Mainstream politicians around Europe have expressed alarm after the far-right Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) swept to a historic state election victory in Germany, while nationalist figures cheered the result as a mandate for change.
While falling just short of an absolute majority, the AfD surged into first place in the Saxony-Anhalt state election on Sunday, exit polls showed, putting the far right within reach of power at the state level for the first time since the second world war.
Well haha from the perspective of someone you’d call “tankie” this is hilarious. Like the call is coming from inside the house. The liberals or “leftists” very much engage in this reality denying or mental illness you complain about.
Because how is doing a coup in Ukraine to empower neonazis massacre their own protestors, oust the president and then provoke a proxy war with violence not fascism in foreign policy? Doing THAT to another country? How are the parties in Europe supporting this and lying about this not fascist as well? How are they not fascist for supporting a genocide in Gaza? But all you hear now is Russia Russia Russia Russia.
The people voting for the AfD can very much see through this specific type of insanity. They are immune to this type of “idealism” opposed to realist foreign policy. They understand Nato is not “nice” or idealistic and that Russia doesn’t want them on their doorstep. They look at the “leftists” and wonder how they got more radical than themselves, supporting nazis and whatnot lol. Obviously the AfD politicians are just neoliberal opportunist fascist scumbags and the voters are sadly not immune to that type of insanity. But it’s the deliberate destruction and degeneration of the western “liberal” democracies that is driving all this:
Costs for energy, fertilizer have risen, truth and liberty have all gone down the shitter in Europe because of this war. Understanding the enemy is treason and diplomacy is criminalized. What did you think came next? Seriously you’re going to complain about the fascists after the liberal/leftist imperialists lit Europe on fire and let it burn?
Anyway the rise of fascism, LePenn and Ukip is now inevitable and Europe will break apart. Because the conditions are now as they are. Of course climate change made it inevitable already but this will seriously accelerate the downfall.
Don’t blame the poorly educated. Blessed are the poor in spirit.
If you want to stop or delay Europe’s downfall and slide into fascism, all you have to do is push for an immediate peace deal with Ukraine, normalize relations with Russia to get energy flowing again, sanction the US and Israel so they leave Iran alone. Prosperity returns, economic outlook improves and everybody is happy again. Easy peasy lol.
