He won $15,000 grant in 2015 for engineering applications.

That’s not much. And also not unusual for innovation grants.

I don’t see anything in that article saying he was doing anything in the last decade to build military weapons for Iran.

And also that he was deported anyway because Canada decided to revoke many Middle Eastern residencies.

This seems like made up outrage that an Iranian engineer was allowed to work in Canada.

Since founding two companies in Alberta, an Edmonton resident named “Sal Ghafouri” has received more than $2 million in federal and provincial contracts, including from the RCMP and Department of National Defence, public records show.

        (Rcmp are the mountain police)

But later in the article it only mentions the $15,000 grant. And doesn’t say which company received what. When. Or what for.

2million is a lot more than 15 thousand but the article couldn’t be any more specific.

It does say he was being investigated for his Iranian ties.

Doesn’t seem like they found anything on him. Idk.

I suspect, him being an engineer for defense/weapons was why he got contracts for the police and military.

Im not saying he’s innocent. But I don’t see any substantiated accusations other than “he’s involved in weapon engineering which we think is suspicious because he’s Iranian”

Which, is a pretty lucrative area for an engineer. Make a lot of money in weapons and defense. Lots of engineers go into this area.

I feel like the mountain police are the kind of police that traditionally say, “Bone apple tea” before each meal.
