Why would someone care?
My (now)-ex replied to a message 6 months after I send it. I just replied and we started dating.
Time is an illusion anyway. People don’t care when you send it.
But they do care whether you send it at all.
You say this until you meet a narcissist that will turn things against you if you didn’t reply in what they consider a meaningful amount of time.
Of course, the more you wait, the worse it gets, but the hope is that the lack of contact just makes them forget.
