    The first, most central and foundational principle of international diplomacy and conflict resolution is that you must always afford both sides a voice. If you don’t, there can be no communication, no progress, no way forward but conflict.

    Take a moment and try to feel what you feel when someone ignores you, as if you were thin air. Does that emotion lead somewhere good?
