This is ideal, sadly a lot of unions have been dismantled. I would say it shouldn’t be a conflict it should be a negotiation based on current market rates. It shouldn’t be a you vs boss. Just a hey don’t know if you’re aware but I can do less for more down the road. I agree with the other posters too the job market is crazy atm hence my if possible to jump ship part. I wasn’t looking forward to it but I also was not prepared to put up with being paid for the job they were asking me to do as well. Sadly you have to use the capitalists tools to not get taken advantage of. They would happily have me on my old wage till I retire,
