A newly commissioned European Parliament report calls for strict, legally binding anti-piracy rules, and the potential for collateral internet damage is huge
Make the live streams cheap and easily accessible, no geo blocking or other gate-keeping stupidities , and the problem will resolve itself. Most people are fine to subscribe if it’s a reasonable price and easy to get to.
Some ppl are always gonna pirate, by choice, but they’re the minority.
Yep. This is why I will never pay them anything, ever. Their business model is incompatible with value or sustainability. They will only ever achieve quality for a brief moment in time, to acquire funding and customers, then they will rape you to death and tell you they had no choice.
may want to check out retrovibed and in particular this post. full disclosure: I’m trying to bootstrap it as a nonprofit for this exact reason, its getting ready for public alpha release.
You need 3 different subscriptions and a VPN for Amazon Prime to watch all Champions league und regular Season football (soccer) games where I live. It costs about 120EUR ~ 140 USD/month to follow my team.
For a period of time Viaplay showed all Premier League and Champions League games for a reasonable price (I think it was around 30€ per month, but it was before corona) in my country, it was so good that people from other countries signed up to follow their team during the season. It was great, but since then they have doubled their price, lost Champions League, some of the Premier League games and the quality of the commentators and studio has decreased.

non-starter for corporations.

The radically communist belief that checks notes sports shouldn’t be for profit
