Lemmy is not going to like this but… Depending on your career and if you are looking to change jobs, you might just want to bite the bullet.
As much as people rightfully hate it, LinkedIn is THE platform for jobs in certain industries. You can make this your hill to die on, just be aware that there may be no real alternatives, and you may find yourself alone without a life raft.
It’s like being against WhatsApp in South America. That’s great for you, but 90% of people and businesses use that as their method of communication, often as the ONLY method of communication.
You’re gonna have to weigh for yourself if it’s worth it or not.
So just give up?
Look, you can hate pants. Despise them. Proudly state that society is dumb for embracing them and adamantly refuse to wear them. That is your right. You can make that choice. You will be going against the grain and against societal expectations and will likely run into difficulties and challenges that people who just decide to go ahead and wear pants wont face, but that is your choice to make.
If you are in a position in life that you can say “fuck you”! Then more power to you. But if you are job hunting, or think you will be in the future, well… Again, you don’t HAVE to, but things will be significantly harder for you if you don’t. Yes it sucks. Yes it’s unfair. But it’s not something most people can feasibly do anything about.
Just leave the proprietary platforms. Delete all your accounts. Cold turkey. I don’t miss any of this crap that constantly gets worse as well. In fact your life will probably be better because there are overall less things you need to take care of. It’s liberating.

I speak German and the PR text is just strange AI slop text. It reads like a Google Translate text from 2009 and is overly verbose.
They seem to use Claude Code, but the page itself does look like standard framework to me. But tbh I don’t know.

The GitHub is what I mostly based my assumption on… seems very reliant on LLMs to me. Can’t say for sure obviously, I’m sure some humans just write this way. But most don’t.

I was able to log in with my password and didn’t need any ID, but I deleted the account so I will not end up in your situation. I have deleted several old accounts during the summer, so this was just one more account that is now deleted.

No, they randomly blocked my acct with this, suggesting malicious access. But i have mfa enabled and there is no sign of misuse. Good luck explaining that to them if they won’t acknowledge you as the acct holder until you give your id and ALL it’s details to Persona. Privacy and security my ass
