Here in Brazil quite a few influencers were caught in money laundering schemes involved with drug dealers. According to the article, there were other 10+ similar deaths of Influencers in an area where cartels are fighting each other for territory control. I’d hazard a guess that there is more to this than just a case of cartel violence.

Cartels are the cancer that spreads when the state fails to provide stability and a life with a perspective.

If your only perspective is living in poverty, and the cartels are more socialist than the state, this is the result.
