let’s calculate: mayflower in 1618 to today, roughly 2018 is about 400 years. first child was mostly had around age 22 for most of that time, so that makes 400 / 22 ≈ 18 generations if you’re descended from a long row of first-borns.

I estimated the generations for mine and just added two because we came 40 years after. Depending on the fecundity of my line it might be more than that.
