Boomers lived through plenty of horrors. Vietnam, deindustrialization, the Volcker Shock, leaded gasoline/paint, AIDS…
The 1970s was a fucked decade.
The 20th century in general is kind of unfathomably different from most of the rest of history. It was a wild time to be alive.
