    Yeah, it kind of sounds like he lied, screwed over tax payers, stole a bunch of money, and now gets to retire with a pension, and a heap of stolen money so he can raise the kid he’s not even capable of having naturally. Sound about right?

      Yes, he will probably never be prosecuted for his crimes. Although Germany is, for the most part, a functioning constitutional state, it is unfortunately still very rare for a politician to be prosecuted for embezzling public funds.

      He is still a member of parliament, so not totally gone unfortunately… like gone to prison, which would be just. So basically he did a bunch of shit, with no consequences, and only lost a job, probably only temporarily, for an issue not even illegal but against party policy.
