      Agreed.

My new argument is that American solar takes power away from Iran. How? It frees the US from a commodity that Iran can manipulate. How could a right-winger argue against that?

Oh right, because nothing they believe is consistent. Oh well I’ll try anyway.

It makes a lot of sense when you see it through the lens of selfishness and greed- you know, what the whole capitalist system is predicated upon.

We must break these chains or we will all succumb to them.

Shit even if we cast them off our chances are slim.

We tried the ‘end reliance on foreign oil’ tactic before, they responded by pushing things like compressed natural gas, tar sands pipelines, and the off-shore drilling that they are still on about. It’s the whole “it’s very hard to get a man to stop believing something his paycheck relies on him believing” quote that I am butchering but still.

Well now solar is cheaper than all of that, and that’s what matters to those goons. Money. So keep at it.

Yeah. Let’s keep fighting, all of us, in every and any little way we can. We can change the course of this sinking ship. If we’re lucky we’ll wake up on a tropical beach naked and thingless, and reinvent ourselves and what we want ourselves and humanity to be.
