      Varieties differ in their temperature tolerances, but grapes are generally produced in areas with a mean annual temperature of 10-20°C. Very little growth occurs below 10°C (or after 35c). Grapes require winter temperatures cool enough to induce vine dormancy, and a growing season long enough to allow fruit development.

      The fact that there was a temporary warm period and cool period for a few centuries in one region isn’t relevant. We have climate data and co2 levels to compare with those periods, they are not the same thing.
