I didn’t say that. I absolutely am in favor of Iran closing the Strait in response to Israel bombing Lebanon. I was contrasting the Western narrative with a non-Western one that is nearly identical to highlight the absurdity of the claim as a reason to cancel the MoU.

The MoU specifically included US allies needing to stop bombing Lebanon. Those US allies were not at the table and didn’t stop bombing Lebanon. Therefore the US violated the MoU and the Strait was closed.
