The Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution has acquired data analysis software from the French company ChapsVision as an alternative to products from the controversial US firm Palantir.
The French software is capable of analysing large volumes of data using artificial intelligence and is intended for use in counter-terrorism and counter-espionage.
The BfV is the first federal authority to adopt a European alternative to Palantir, whilst several state police forces continue to rely on Palantir applications.

Funny how everyone’s only talking about which surveillance software to use instead of asking if more intrusive surveillance is even needed.
