I don’t think people give the indoctrination angle as much credit as it should get. Imagine some 4 year old, where the only thing in the world they want is their parents love and affection. Of course they’re going to do/say what makes their parents happy. I feel bad for them, still unforgivable imo.

Religious indoctrination is equally saddening to think about.
