Humans got down to about 1,200 individuals approx 800k years ago. We came back just fine. We could probably make a conservatory for 10k or so of the species and bring them back at our leisure.

We did get back, but did we get back “just fine?”

We did elect Trump twice, people look up to Musky, kids are depressed with no places to chill without being harassed by NIMBYs/cops, still dealing with civil rights issues 60yrs later, etc

If there ever was a systemic failure of humanity due to genetic bottleneck, im pretty confident it was the global decision to allow France’s continued existence after WWII.

That disgusting inbred backwater shithole should have been divided up amongst the allied powers, as the Vichy French interim government showed conclusively that the savages are unable to effectively govern themselves. The French have been a stain on our species for far too long.

As a native American man with a French last name and a dead culture riding on my back, I have somewhat of a bone to pick with most colonial powers. France still manages to hold a special place in my heart. French Canadians are pretty much the only thing worse. Colonizers are bad enough without inbreeding.
