Sure, but then you should be pushing for two USB ports per phone, right? Because Bluetooth headphones are shit for both batteries, and a single-port phone requires, at minimum, a weird dongle to charge and listen at the same time, creating a single, cumbersome point of failure for the only extant jack.
I’d be down for multiple usb ports. I’ve thought about making a custom case to integrate a charge passthrough hub before but it always ends up in the stalled projects pile.
Personally, I don’t want another USB port, like, I would be actively against it. I wouldn’t use it ever, it will be collecting dust and be a potential point of break, it will ultimately bulk up the phone which is big enough already. Meanwhile, good splitter/hub/dongle costs nothing compared to all other phone expenses, and will do the same and only be used when needed.
