I’m about halfway through my degree and haven’t used AI for any of it 🤷‍♂️ Including at least two 10 page papers and I don’t even know how many 3-5 page ones, lol. I have no intention of changing that either, why would I want to dilute my writing voice or my line of reasoning throughout the paper? Writing is thinking, there are so many things you think you understand well until you sit down and try to explain it. That’s the point, that’s the process of learning.

If it was up to me I would accept a student doing a presentation instead of a final paper if they really struggled with writing, because I’ve seen professors do that and I think it teaches just as much (also it’s fun to watch people give presentations they’re enthusiastic about). But it has to be equivalent to the amount of writing you’d be doing, like 20 minutes to present 3-4 pages. But either way, AI isn’t going to teach you anything for either of those compared to doing the work yourself.

For the most part there isn’t anything that happens to people with ADHD that doesn’t happen to people without ADHD, except something like the paradoxical caffeine response where it calms you down instead of wiring you. The difference is just frequency.

I don’t like letting it get long anymore, but when I did washing it with shampoo, brushing it while wet, and letting it air dry would give me the most incredible curls. Sucks hair is so hot, heavy, and drives me crazy when it gets in my face.

You described me, and I still find those glasses creepy. It’s so much cheaper, easier, and less ethically fraught to just say “oh hey man how are you doing!” and fake it for a minute. Or tell them you’re having a brain fart and keep wanting to call them [random name] even though you KNOW that’s not it. Or, god forbid, just be upfront with people and tell them you’re face blind AF and struggle with placing faces to people outside context.

More of a question for the two dozen or so people upvoting the comments. Even if they’re trolling (and not just an islamophobe), there’s clearly a fair number of people that think these are reasonable opinions to hold. Getting people to think about the beliefs they hold is an important part of reducing -phobic behavior in general.
