All things which Trump is doing a fantastic job of burning down so him and his buddies can loot the corpse of our dying empire. Seem like the libertarian dream actually, where all that matters is how much can you snag for yourself before someone else does. Yup. When you think about it, if you were really libertarian you’d have an electric car and maybe stand up a wind turbine and some solar panels in your yard. That way you wouldn’t be dependent on complex oil refineries and a global oil system, the majority of which is directly owned by foreign governments.
But how many libertarians actually do this? Really libertarianism is about a vague feeling of distrust in the government and it doesn’t actually go any deeper than that.
Real libertarians would just be anarcho-communists since you really need some sort of community to cover the gaps in your abilities.

The NH libertarian party is a perfect example of it being fulled with non-libertarians. Pretty sure the main party has completely denounced them at this point.

That’s why so many went to Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Not, “I would vote against Trump”, but “I would do nothing, allow this to play out exactly like it is, and be able to say it’s not my fault.”

I had a friend who discovered Libertarianism years ago. He tried to explain it to me and get me on board. Some highlights from that conversation:
“What’s better, Coke or Pepsi? WRONG! Dr. pepper is better, but you didn’t say it because nobody told you it was an option!”
“Imagine the country how it is now, but you have the freedoms to become rich.”
“Poor people vote for Dems, so the Dems want you to stay poor so you’ll keep voting for them”
He just talked in circles and didn’t want to hear how crazy he sounded. “It just sounds crazy, because we’ve never experienced it before.”
I hope he eventually got over all that. He was otherwise a very smart guy.
